The Fourth House and Old Age: What does yours say?

Do you want a glimpse at what your life will be like when you’re old. Just look at the 4th house of your birth chart.

The fourth house is the house of your home and roots, but it also represents your later years and what you might want for yourself as you age, like where you might live, what you may want to do, and what you need to feel safe.

• Having the sun here is fortunate for you as you get older. You may feel proud of what you have accomplished and be set with what you need.

• The moon here means you will probably relocate or size down and some sort of attention may come to you. You might find yourself in the public eye for some reason.

• Mercury: You’ll still be sharp mentally and probably have a lot of friends you stay in touch with.

• Venus: Venus here suggests harmony and peace as you age, But be careful not to spend your 401K on fixing up your house.

• Mars here means you are more likely to still be active and independent when you’re older. You’ll probably be running on  more cylinders than other people your age.

• With Jupiter here, you typically will be blessed with a larger family and your idea of family goes beyond blood. You should be pretty lucky and set financially as you age.

• If Saturn is here, chances are you have saved and prepared for getting older. Also, Saturn and Capricorn energy usually indicates you will age well.

• If Uranus is there, honestly anything could happen. You are probably used to the unconventional at home, and that is not going to change as you get older. You may want something totally different as you get older than what you have wanted when you were younger.

• If Neptune is in your fourth house, you may spend your later years focused on your creative hobbies. It’s also likely you may move or be far away from where you are from. In the physical or mental realms. You may dedicate your time to helping your family or spend a lot of time alone.

• If Pluto is there, chances are you will devote your later years to some sort of project you’re obsessed with that willl occupy your time. Pluto here also indicates you may want to be alone. You have always wanted control of your home life. You may transform yourself in your later years.

If you’re like me and don’t have planets in the 4th house, the sign on the cusp of your 4th house shows how you approach this part of your life.

• Aries: You’ll probably be independent, focused on doing things you like to do. You may live alone or with your children. You may have a lot of things you like to do by yourself.

• Taurus: You’ll be in your garden or asleep on the couch. You just want peace and to chill out, you may be the one getting annoyed with your neighbors. You want peace, stability and comfort, most of all.

• Gemini: You’ll probably be visiting people, making friends with people at the store, talking on the phone. You may live with a sibling. Either way, you will likely choose to stay close to where you're from as you age.

• Cancer: You’re probably going to be a homebody, wherever your home is. You like to have family come over. You may live with family. You may be moody a lot. You may like to take care of people and have others return the favor.

• Leo: You’re still going to be doing things to get attention. If your partner dies, you’ll find another one or maybe you’ll be the popular one at the senior center.

• Virgo: You may be a caregiver for someone you love. Or you’ll have pets you are super attached to. You may choose to volunteer or downsize and focus only on the basics of what you need as you age.

• Libra: You’ll still be looking good the older you get, you will probably still be partnered up.

• Scorpio: You may go through a transformation as you age, shedding old habits. You may be obsessed with things you like, or in a bad mood a lot. It's important to learn to let go and focus on relationships with people.

• Sagittarius: Are you moving to another country? Traveling a lot, maybe you’ll go on cruises a lot. Maybe you take some classes at your local college.

• Capricorn: You’ll be the responsible one. You will likely age well. You may work later than other people your age, but only if you want to. You may be exceptionally frugal or prefer quality over quantity.

• Aquarius: They say you can get old or you can get old and weird. That’s you. You will probably live with friends or with other people. 

• Pisces: You’ll be either giving unconditional love to people, to your family, and working on creative projects. Or you’ll need it and may lose yourself in some way. You may totally isolate yourself to protect your energy.
